Contextual analysis of existing adverts

The objective for this task was to find existing adverts of our chosen charity and related charities to gain ideas from them for our projects. We also had to define what the term “Emotional Persuasion” meant and how adverts use it to get attention and what other sort of eye catching techniques they used.

Types of Shots

Photography Styles

In this task we had to discuss the different types of camera shot techniques such as shutter speeds, aperture and exposure. We then as a group worked together to take different types of photographs and show what the differences can be in comparison.

During this task we made sure to use health and safety rules such as preventing tripping hazards, making sure people were aware we were taking photographs, not blinding anyone with the flash and not blocking any emergency exits.
