In this task, we had to create a colour board for colours that remind us of Autumn. We then had to create a texture board for things with different textures that are also related to Autumn. Finally, we were given the task too create an ideas board to plan our Autumn advertisement posters, however I did not complete this task and made up for it in the Christmas Charity Appeal task.

Examples of Photographs

I this task we had to explain what the different types of shots were that can be taken by cameras such a rule of third and balanced shots. We then as a group took our own photographs as examples of each example. We used proper health and safety precautions such as making sure the camera didn’t get damaged, there were no tripping hazards as well as making sure that there was no flash on to cause eye strain.

Nature of Sound + Microphones and their pick up pattern

Audio Skills and Different types of Microphones and

The objective for this task was to identify the different nature of sounds. We did this also by being in a group to record different sounds in different places around the college to show our examples of sounds with different natures.

We also had to do our sound recordings when using different types of microphones and editing their pick up pattern. During both these tasks, we made sure to commit to the health and safety conditions, making sure no one was in a hazardous situation, not to risk damaging equipment and not causing any blockages such as blocking hallways in case of an emergency

Contextual analysis of existing adverts

The objective for this task was to find existing adverts of our chosen charity and related charities to gain ideas from them for our projects. We also had to define what the term “Emotional Persuasion” meant and how adverts use it to get attention and what other sort of eye catching techniques they used.
